Simply stated; if a consumer wants to buy a product or service through the Internet, they go to a search engine such as Yahoo, Google or MSN.  They insert a description of the product or service that they want, into a box provided for that purpose, and they're brought to a list of websites which are advertising the products or services that this consumer is looking for.
